Doodle update..

All of my pattern designs start with a doodle in my
sketch book & I nearly always draw flowers...
Apparently emotional people who want harmony and love
tend to draw things with circular or rounded shapes,
or symbols of love and femininity (circles, spirals, suns, flowers,
hearts, faces, lips) so its nice to know my patterns
are filled with harmony and love :)

Here are some of my latest doodles which eventually
I'll turn into finished patterns..

Cage Lamp Shades
I love these & I have them in black with Edison Bulbs
which come in different shapes & sizes..

Picture Gallery Wall
These look great! & you don't have to just display pictures,
I've seen displays with stags heads, plates, wooden letters etc..

Monochrome
I have always been a fan of black & white I think it can look so classy!

Geo patterns
I love that so many patterns can sit together & look great!

Hanging plants

Botanicals
Im not so good with looking after plants but I love the leafy fabric designs.

Patterned Floor Tiles
I've seen lots of different floor tiles but these are my faves
look great in a bathroom

Pineapples
I first saw these in Bali & bought painted wooden ones for our Bathroom..
I've also got a little one in copper...I just love em! :)

cactus
These are my kinda plant! as they don't need much water
& they look after themselves (sort of!) I was never a fan of Cactus
but I've warmed to them since seeing them displayed in beautiful painted pots.
Now I am the proud owner of 3 of them! :)

Summery Ideas

At last the sun was shining over the weekend & like many
other people, I headed to B&Q for lots of gardening goodies!
I'll admit I'm not green fingered at all & I don't have a lot
of spare time, so a few plant pots with Geraniums & Petunias
are just the job to make the garden look pretty.
We have a summer house which is quite cute,
so of course I'll be dressing it up in pretty fairy lights
bunting & lanterns to create a that little tranquil
area of the garden to sit & relax on a summers evening.
Pinterest is great for getting ideas & inspiration
for more or less anything! here's some quick & easy
ideas to make your garden look pretty..

I'm all for 'quick and easy' ideas & recycling bottles
& tins to display your plants or flowers in is a fab idea!
 & they look great painted!

I bought some of these pompoms from Inspirations in Bromborough in Wirral,
They also have coloured lanterns - can't wait to put them up

I love this idea! It may not be quick but it looks easy enough
old tyres wrapped in rope to make cute little outside seats

This look quite easy to knock together! ..
Using old wooden pallet to display plant & herbs

Pink is my favourite colour!
