It's that time of year again, when we start to see Christmas 

products hitting the shelves! Although It's far too early to start 

thinking about Christmas (well it is for me!) .. I can't help but get excited 

when I see the designs I've worked on, in the shops!... 

I always enjoy working on Baylis & Harding collections 

because their packaging is always so colourful & creative..

The theme for this Christmas 2016 is Toy Soldiers..

Mix & Match

Following on from my last post about fitting my patterns 

to different products..This is a concept board I created 

showing 3 of my patterns on various items.

I like the idea of mixing & matching contrasting patterns 

& I think these 3 work really well together.

I have been finding out how my patterns fit to different products.

To do this I do a touch of magic in Photoshop & place my patterns on 

various products such as Ceramics, Wallpapers, Melamine etc.. 

its alot cheaper that getting them made up & 

it gives me an idea of how adaptable a pattern can be!

Print & Pattern

I'm very pleased that I have been featured on the Print & Pattern Blog this month

For many years I have followed this blog & have in been totally inspired & in awe of

the many Designers & patterns that are featured & now Im one of them! Yay!

It's sooo hard to get noticed out in the big wide world of Design it's basically a case 

of trying to place yourself & your designs everywhere you possibly can!

Although I have been in the Design Industry for many years 

I am just at the beginning of my journey promoting my 

Designs under my own name. Im excited about the road ahead.

Im under no illusion how hard its going to be.

In this highly competitive world we have to take the highs 

with the lows & carry on doing what we love.

Print & Pattern

Interior Trends 8

We had friends over from Canada this week so we 

showed them some of the sights of Wirral, Liverpool & Chester.

We discovered the Botanist in Chester & fell in love with interior! 

In between courses I was excitedly running around taking photos 

 of nearly every fixtures & fitting.. I'd describe the style as ''Industrial Shabby Chic'

Even the toilets showed amazing attention to detail..

I would totally recommend a visit because they do good food too!

Happy Tuesday!

I have introduced 'Make your own Lampshade Kits' to my Esty Shop.

They are really easy to make & you can choose your own fabric

to suit your decor. They also make a great gift for someone

who's moved into a new home!

The drum shape shades are available in 2 sizes 30cm & 40cm 

They are ideal for a pendant or table lamp

Soon I will be offering a choice of my fabric designs to be included

in the kit so you can have an original design piece that will compliment your decor.

onto fabric & made into cushion covers & tea towels

I have lots to do before they are on sale so watch this space..

All my patterns start as doodles & then I develop them on the computer,
here is an example to show you the transition from scribble to surface pattern.

I have 6 designs available to start off with 

which will be applied to different products in the future, 

plus new designs added to my collection.
