2016 Colour Trend

Apparently the Pantone colour of the year is Rose Quartz & Serenity.. 

The colours I see coming through this year are 

just gorgeous, I don't have any fancy names,
just copper, blush pinks, blues & greys

Geometry

Geometric patterns are becoming increasingly popular when 

it comes to interior design. Here are some faves I've gathered 

together to get you inspired..

Sometimes just a striking floor is all you need to set off a room..

or bold patterned wallpapers, rugs & cushions

against clean white walls look stunning...

and to finish off the look there's gorgeous 

geometric accessories, I want them all!..

Naugties Retro

1970's Retro has made a huge come back but thankfully with 

a calming re-style, making it sit comfortably in the 21st Century. 

As a child of the 70's I remember 'orange & brown' 

was everywhere you looked!.. (cringe!)

I remember our living room carpet, curtains & even our outfits 

merged together! It was hard to tell where one pattern started 

& one pattern ended! Whenever you see a photograph showing 

the kids of the 70's with their uneven hair cuts, big collared floral 

shirts, maxi dresses & brown trousers with a flare, its pretty 

easy to work out what year they grew up in! 

As we know, most fashions come round full circle & the 80's

 being one of them, personally, I dont think that worked 

2nd time round, but the 70's influence (in my opinion) 

is looking better now than it did then!
